Jesus marvelled at their disbelief.

Usually, I would just read the Bible and thought that I have understood what the Scriptures meant. But yesterday, I believed that I have experienced a fraction of this verse. I was playing a numbers game with my students. The number is "9876".

Do you know that 4 different digits, not including 0, can be computed to form a 10, using the digits only once? I heard that game through Yes 933. It is quite interesting, I think.

Anyway, back to the story. After several attempts, none of the students got the solution. One girl questioned me that it could be that this number cannot be computed to form a 10. I said it can be done. And I also replied that through this game, I also can see people who would indeed perseverse in life and those who would just give up. And I was telling them that I was doing a maths question for 3 months. Then suddenly, the other student told me not to brag.

In my mind, this boy definitely has a problem. I then said that if anyone can get the solution to this number, the person would get a $2. That same boy again cried out, questioning that it may not be worth the effort to get the solution. Then that same girl said that they should relax and see how others fared in this game.

Sigh! Seeing this kind of situation made me marvel at their extent of giving up. Because I have been through it of not giving up, so that may be the reason why I marvel at those who give up easily.

And Jesus must have felt that way. Being in a world whereby all things are possible and facing a world whereby all things seem impossible may let him marvel at the sight which beholds Him.
